Waivers, Add/Drops and Call-up/Send Downs

As of this Tuesday at 10pm EST ALL waiver claims will be counted as 1 of your 13 (some teams have 12) official moves for the year.  Please manage them accordingly.  I’ve seen many owners run and pick up 4 players after Week 1 and 3 more after Week 2 then come to realize before the playoff run that they are all out of options and cannot address any injury or player issues.

Please take a few minutes to become familiar with the Yahoo! League page.  Many of you are not familiar with the layout and are asking questions about things that are in plain view.  I can walk anyone through it if need be, just ask!

The Reserves are listed on the Yahoo! League page just below the Recent Transactions section in the Commisioner Note.  Each team has an 8 man reserve and an active 30 man roster.  I know this may sound repetitive but I need to make sure you all have the necessary tools to be successful here.  Once a player is Called Up from your reserve squad he must start one game before being eligible to go back to your Reserves.

All players who spend one week, wether on the bench or starting are eligible for the postseason.  Playoff eligibility will also be tracked and posted in the Commissioner note section.  All players are currently in regular type – Peyton Manning.  If a player is on your reserves and is eligible for the postseason he will be listed in CAPS – PEYTON MANNING.

MY ADVICE – Call up players you just might possibly need.  Don’t stock your active roster with QB’s.  You only need to start one and if he is your clear cut, injury free starter theres no need for a backup on your active.  I’d rather have the flex options.
