Venton Lee, a New Yorker now living across the Hudson in New Jersey gives us 5 minutes of his time to offer up some NJFFL advice to incoming owners. He is a 10 year fantasy football veteran and just completed his first NJFFL season. Here are the five questions we offered up to Venton…
NJFFL – How was the adjustment to the NJFFL compared to other football leagues you have been in?
VLee – I have never played in a return yardage league before so it was strange to view a guy like Stephens-howling as an elite player. The league also has a plethora of bonuses to be acclimated to and just being used to the scoring in general
NJFFL – Did you have a gameplan coming into the 2010 season? Did you stick to your gameplan the entire season?
VLee – Yes. I was able to secure most of the players I wanted and build slowly. I was able to trade to get what I want when I needed to.
NJFFL – What draft or gameplay advice would you offer an incoming expansion team?
VLee – Just build as deep as a roster as you can and be wary of how you use waivers. I was caught with my proverbial pants down a couple of times and it may have cost me a shot in the title game.
NJFFL – What is your biggest challenge coming into 2011?
VLee – To prove ’10 wasn’t a mirage.
NJFFL – Tell me something about your team that makes you think it’s better than most.
VLee – I run my team with a purpose and make level-headed and competent decisions.
